Dr. Johnson has been married for more than 25 years to pediatrician Dr. Jennifer Johnson. The couple has raised three children in Greenwood surrounded by family and close friends.

Lee Johnson is a native Arkansan, born and raised in Greenwood, Arkansas. Lee attended Hendrix University and graduated from the University of Arkansas Medical School.
Since 1999, Dr. Johnson has been a staple in the emergency room at Baptist Health-Fort Smith. He’s well known for his ability to put patients at ease and for taking the time to listen to their concerns. He has also served in leadership roles on Baptist Health-Fort Smith and was former medical director of the Good Samaritan Clinic.
In addition to serving the community's health care needs, Dr. Johnson has dedicated his personal time to serving the community through public service. Lee was elected to serve on the Greenwood city council for 10 years, where he supported our police department and backed improvements for fire protection and volunteer fire department.
Lee, a conservative Republican, was elected to State Representative in 2018. As a State Legislator, he has focused on driving down healthcare cost through expanding access, bringing broadband services to every area of Arkansas, and defending Arkansas values. Lee has received awards from Arkansas Family Council, has 100% Pro-Life voting record with Arkansas Right to Life, and an "A" grade from the National Rifle association.
Dr. Johnson remains heavily involved in the local school system as the volunteer physician for the Greenwood Bulldogs Athletics Program. He was also selected as the keynote speaker at his alma mater’s graduation ceremony in May of 2019.
